General description
The Encore is a phenomenal two way loudspeaker system, comprising a self-damping compound (SDC) head unit mounted on a multi-layer birch ply bass cabinet.

Design theory and objectives
To produce a totally time and phase-coherent, ultra low distortion, full-range (20Hz - 30,000Hz +/- 3dB) loudspeaker capable of sustaining realistic SPLs. The custom-designed Sorbothane mounting block allows the head unit to be located in exactly the right position on top of the bass cabinet to ensure optimum geometry for each and every listening environment. The beautiful cabinet is acoustically inert and blends effortlessly into domestic surroundings. Our unique crossover and room correction technology enables the system to be perfectly integrated into any size of studio or listening room.

For home theatre applications, the bass performance and holographic imaging capabilities of the system remove the need for subwoofers and centre channel speakers. This greatly simplifies the installation, reduces overall costs and is far more appealing aesthetically. Our decision to upgrade the crossovers from the archaic passive designs using large inductors, capacitors and resistors used by the vast majority of loudspeaker manufacturers, is a bold one. Our crossover costs instantly increase tenfold! But the sonic and technical benefits of using the state of the art DEQX digital crossover/room correction unit are major. We can now guarantee our customers perfectly time and phase-coherent full-range sound reproduction beautifully tailored to their own acoustic environment and personal sonic preferences.
